Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and safety of VX-548 and its metabolite in the absence and presence of omeprazole or rifampin, in healthy participants.

Conditions: Pain.

Primary outcome: Part A: Maximum Observed Plasma Concentration (Cmax) of VX-548 and its Metabolite in the Absence and Presence of Omeprazole; Part A: Area Under the Concentration Versus Time Curve From the Time of Dosing Extrapolated to Infinity (AUC0-inf) of VX-548 and its Metabolite in the Absence and Presence of Omeprazole; Part B: Maximum Observed Plasma Concentration (Cmax) of VX-548 and its Metabolite in the Absence and Presence of Rifampin; Part B: Area Under the Concentration Versus Time Curve From the Time of Dosing Extrapolated to Infinity (AUC0-inf) of VX-548 and its Metabolite in the Absence and Presence of Rifampin.

Enrollment: 31 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 31 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
