Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of VX-548 doses in treating acute pain after an abdominoplasty.

Conditions: Acute Pain.

Primary outcome: Time-weighted Sum of the Pain Intensity Difference (SPID) as Recorded on a Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) at Rest 0 to 48 Hours (SPIDr0-48) After the First Dose of Study Drug.

Enrollment: 303 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 303 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
