U-Nets for image segmentation and diffusion models for image generation
Abstract
A U-Net is a kind of ResNet with a special architecture which is easy to train and needs few training samples. A U-Net is used for retinal vessel segmentation. Hugging Face’s pre-trained diffusion models based on U-Nets were used to generate photorealistic images for an Oxford flower dataset. Then a mathematical principle is explained using codes to generate quadratic curves. Using Hugging Face’s Stable Diffusion models, we can even instruct a computer to generate beautiful images according our text prompts.
