A Phase IV Comparative Study of the Safety and Efficacy of Cefdinir and Levofloxacin for the Treatment of Subjects With Acute Bacterial Sinusitis
Abstract
To compare the safety and efficacy of a ten-day course of therapy of cefdinir, 600 mg QD, to a ten-day course of therapy of levofloxacin, 500 mg QD, in the treatment of acute bacterial sinusitis.
Conditions: Acute Bacterial Sinusitis.
Primary outcome: Clinical cure rate.
Enrollment: 271 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 271 participants or records.
