Abstract

Bioequivalence of an empagliflozin/metformin (FDC) tablet compared with single tablets of two strength of empagliflozin and metformin (Part I) under fasted and under fed conditions and bioequivalence of empagliflozin/metformin (FDC) tablet compared with single tablets empagliflozin and metformin under fed conditions (Part II).

Conditions: Healthy.

Primary outcome: Area Under the Concentration-time Curve of the Analyte in Plasma Over the Time Interval From 0 Extrapolated to Infinity, Empagliflozin; Area Under the Concentration-time Curve of the Analyte in Plasma Over the Time Interval From 0 Extrapolated to Infinity, Metformin; Maximum Measured Concentration of the Analyte in Plasma, Empagliflozin; Maximum Measured Concentration of the Analyte in Plasma, Metformin.

Enrollment: 48 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 48 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
