Relative Bioavailability of Pioglitazone After Co-administration With Different Doses of BI 10773 in Healthy Volunteers (an Open-label, Randomised, Crossover, Clinical Phase I Study)
Abstract
The objective was to investigate the effect of different doses of BI 10773 on the bioavailability of pioglitazone after multiple oral doses of both drugs
Conditions: Healthy.
Primary outcome: AUCτ,ss (area under the concentration-time curve of the analyte in plasma at steady state over a uniform dosing interval τ); Cmax,ss (maximum measured concentration of the analyte in plasma at steady state over a uniform dosing interval τ).
Enrollment: 20 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 20 participants or records.
