Experimental Study on the In Vitro Bacteriostatic Effect and Synergic Effect on Levofloxacin of the Urine of Rats Lavage with Compound Bazhensan Liquid (CBL,复方八正散液)
Abstract
Objective: To observe the in vitro bacteriostatic effect and synergic effect on levofloxacin of the urine of rats lavage with compound Bazhensan liquid. Methods: The urine of rats were collected after given CBL. Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) of common bacteria of urinary tract infection and the synergic effect on levofloxacin of the urine were detected with the methods of micro-doubling dilution and plating transfection. Results: The urine of rats lavage with CBL can inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis in vitro. It can also increase the dilution titer of levofloxacin. Conclusion: CBL can inhibit the common bacteria of urinary tract infection effectively. And it has synergic effect on levofloxacin.
