Kajian Pengobatan Tukak Lambung dan Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
Abstract
Abstract. One of the most common disorders experienced by both pediatric and geriatric ages is digestive disorders. Two of the most common digestive disorders are peptic ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Gastric ulcer is a digestive disorder that occurs due to damage to the gastric mucosa, while gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a disease caused by stomach acid flowing back into the esophagus, causing damage to the esophageal mucosa. If these two diseases are not treated immediately, it will result in a compilation that leads to death. The purpose of this study was to determine the pathogenesis of gastric ulcers and GERD and their treatment. The method used is a literature review using a review article. The results of the literature review show that gastric ulcers occur due to infection with Helicobacter pylori bacteria and long-term use of NSAID drugs while GERD occurs due to an imbalance between aggressive (gastric acid) and defensive factor (LES, esophageal clearance mechanisms). The treatment that can be done is by taking proton pump inhibitor (PPI) and H2RA drugs which work in inhibiting the production of stomach acid and antacids which work in neutralizing gastric juices that are too acidic. Tukak lambung…
