Sildenafil citrate efficacy 8 h postdose in men with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction
Abstract
In two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials of 100 mg sildenafil citrate, men (N=601) with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction (ED) attempted intercourse 8 h (range, 7-9 h) postdose. The baseline to end-of-treatment improvement in the sildenafil groups vs placebo was greater (P50). Thus, responsiveness to 100 mg sildenafil may persist for 8 h postdose in men with mild to moderate ED.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 601 participants or records.
