Abstract

Ticagrelor is a non-thienopyridine, reversible inhibitor of ADP receptors P2Y12 on platelets that is intended to reduce the incidence of thrombotic cardiovascular events in individuals with acute coronary syndrome. The goal of this project is to create and verify a spectroscopic technique for Ticagrelor, an antiplatelet medication. The Area under Curve technique was used using a Pharmaco-model UV-Spectrophotometer Shimadzu1700. The method was developed by appropriate dilutions with methanol 10 μg/ml solution of Ticagrelor were prepared separately. These were scanned in the spectrum mode from 400 nm-200 nm. The wavelength range for Ticagrelor was chosen between 220 nm.nbsp; The method of analysis was validated for the parameters like Accuracy, Linearity, Precision, Recovery, Robustness. The accuracy was determined by standard addition method. Three different levels (80%, 100% and 120%) of standards were spiked to Capsules formulation in triplicate. The mean of percentage recoveries and the %RSD was calculated. Linearity was found between 2-10 µg/ml followed by precision 98.66 and 98.67 for intraday and interday respectively. The LOQ and LOD was found 1.89 and 0.5746 respectively. It was found that the proposed approach was accurate, selective, robust, and sensitive. According to the validation results, the excipients included in pharmaceutical dosage form did not interfere with the analysis. As a result, the suggested approach is unique for determining Ticagrelor in the…
