Abstract

Abstract This paper conducted diffusion welding of TiAl45XD alloy and GH4169 alloy with Ti foil, analyzed the microstructure and phase composition of the welded joint. XRD fracture analysis was performed on the shear port, and EDS line scanning and EDS surface scanning were conducted on the diffusion-welded joint to analyze the fracture path and morphology of the shear cut. The diffusion welding joint of TiAl45XD alloy and GH4169 alloy with Ti foil can be divided into four diffusion layers from GH4169 alloy to TiAl45XD alloy. In the intermetallic compounds formed at the joint, the nano-hardness of γ-Ni is relatively high, reaching 14.39 GPa. The nano-hardness of Ti3Al is the lowest, at 7.37 GPa. The elastic modulus of γ-Ni is the highest, at 255 GPa. The elastic modulus of Ti 3 Al + α-Ti is the lowest, at 159.29 GPa. The elastic recovery rates of γ-Ni and γ-Ni + α-Ti are relatively large, at 45% and 44% respectively. The fracture path of the shear port of the diffusion welding joint shows that when the diffusion welding joint is subjected to external force and sheared, diffusion layer II and III are the most prone to crack initiation and expansion. The fracture morphology shows that the main areas are the platform area and the step area, among which the step area has river patterns and dissociation steps.
