Effects of empagliflozin treatment on glycerol-derived hepatic gluconeogenesis in obese adults: a randomized clinical trial
Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effects of empagliflozin on glycerol‐derived hepatic gluconeogenesis in adults with obesity without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) using oral carbon 13 (13C)‐labeled glycerol.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design.
