Abstract
Emergency departments (EDs) are an entry point into healthcare, but many face rising volumes, overcrowding, staff shortages, and mismatches between demand and resources. These pressures affect safety, waiting times, workload, and quality. Better anticipation of arrivals may support staff and workflow planning. Time series forecasting can predict patient inflow using historical data and predictors.
