This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-design, multinational, 12-week study to compare the efficacy, dose response, and safety of tadalafil once a day versus placebo in men with signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, including lower urinary tract symptoms.

Conditions: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.

Primary outcome: Change From Baseline to 12 Week Endpoint in International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS): Primary Analysis; Change From Baseline to Week 12 in International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS): Supportive Analysis.

Enrollment: 1058 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 1,058 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
