Abstract

for a higher incidence of diabetes mellitus in the Af than non-Af group ( P = 0.071 ) . In conclusion, the prevalence of CRDs, especially lung fibrosis, was higher in the Af than non-Af group. blood and urine were collected. Kidney and tibia were removed after 7 days. Infusion of Ca increased serum FGF23 concentrations independently of serum phosphate ( P ) and creatinine in Normal and Nx rats. In addition, FGF23 mRNA expression in the tibia was increased by Ca infusion. Despite high FGF23 concentrations after Ca infusion, urinary P excretion was decreased. Renal α -Klotho expression was significantly reduced by Ca infusion. These results suggest that intravenous Ca loading may stimulate FGF23 production from bone in normal and uremic rats. The reduction in renal P excretion suggests that the bioactivity of FGF23 is inhibited, and the decrease in renal α -Klotho expression may have a role in this pathological process. In conclusion, CIV Ca loading increased FGF23 concentrations in normal and uremic rats, and renal α -Klotho is necessary to maintain the bioactivity of FGF23 as a phosphaturic factor. Our results demonstrate that FOT is a promising tool for assessing future exacerbations in patients with COPD. urinary tract symptoms ( LUTS ) / benign prostatic hyperplasia ( BPH ) . Methods Patients were administered tadalafil 5 mg once daily. The primary endpoint was endothelial function, as measured by pulse wave velocity ( PWV ) at baseline, and at 12, 24, and 36 weeks of…
