Study of the Effects and Safety of Moxifloxacin Combined with Azithromycin in the Patients with Severe Pneumonia
Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To study the effects and safety of moxifloxacin combined with azithromycin in the patients with severe pneumonia.METHODS:66 cases with severe pneumonia in our hospital from January 2008 to January 2010 were selected as research object, and they were divided into control group 33 cases and observation group 33 cases. The control group were treated with azithromycin based on routine treatment, and the observation group were treated with moxifloxacin based on the treatment of control group. Then the total effective rate, effective time, incidence of adverse reactions and the levels of serum IL6,IL8,TNFα and CRP were detected and compared.RESULTS:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of control group, the effective time of the observation group was shorter than that of control groupt,he levels of serum IL6,IL8,TNFα and CRP of observation group were lower than those of control group(P0.05 or P0.01.) All the differences had statistical significance, but the incidence of adverse reactions of the 2 groups had no difference(P0.05.) CONCLUSION:The effects and safety of moxifloxacin combined with azithromycin in the patients with severe pneumonia are better, and is worthy of popularization and application.
