Abstract

This research was done with the purpose of determining the relationship of impulsivity with the interpersonal relations of the students, it was necessary to perform the identification of the impulsive traits as well as the identification of the interpersonal traits, the work was justified because it has a social value and demonstrates the relationships between peers, it was supported by Barratt's theory of impulsivity and the school climate of Ana Maria Aron and Neva Milicic, the methodology used was of non-experimental design since the situation was observed as it manifests itself and not there was not the manipulation of the variables, of a transverse type because it directed to a certain period of time, the level of research is descriptive and provided an overview of reality and correlational since the variables were associated with a predictable pattern for a group, the applied population was of intentional non-probalistic type, the instruments used were Barratt's impulsivity scale, which consists of twenty-six questions and the social climate assessment scale for students of Ana Maria Aron and Neva Milicic, consisted of forty-five questions, the processing of the data information produced the determination of the existing relationship of impulsivity with interpersonal relationships. It is concluded that motor impulsivity contains an inhibition of the ability to control itself and does not impair interpersonal relationships in students.
