Living donor liver transplantation for combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma: A case series of four patients
Abstract
Highlights • Combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma (cHCC-CCA) is a rare primary liver carcinoma.• The indications for live transplantation for cHCC-CCA remain controversial.• In this case series, patients who met the Milan criteria on the pathological examination had good prognosis.• By itself, cHCC-CCA was not a contraindication for liver transplantation.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a case series, done in people. Its evidence level is 5 of 5 (Very low · case / narrative / animal / in vitro / in silico). Case reports, narrative reviews, and animal, cell or computer-model studies give the weakest evidence for human health.
