Effects of Epimedium Pubescens Flavonoids on Osteoblasts in vitro
Abstract
AIM The purpose is to study the effects of Epimedium Pubescens Flavonoids on cultured osteoblasts in vitro . METHODS Osteoblasts were obtained from newborn rat calvaria by digestive enzymes. MTT, and ARS were used to observe the proliferation and the number of mineral nodes of the third passage osteoblasts cultured in vitro. RESULTS In 1~10 μg/ml concentration, Epimedium Pubescens Flavonoids significantly stimulated the proliferation and increased the number of mineral nodes of cultured osteoblasts. CONCLUSION Epimedium Pubescens Flavonoids had the effects on stimulating the proliferation and maturation of cultured osteoblasts in vitro .
