Research Progress of the Effects of Epimedium on the Osteoblasts in Vitro
Abstract
Epimedium is a traditional Chinese medicine which is frequently used in the treatment of osteoporosis.Recently,it has got a remarkable achievements in the study of treating osteoporosis using epimedium. The experiment found that epimedium can not only promote the proliferation, differentiation and the promotion of bone formation in vitro osteoblast;also can influence the activity of osteoblasts by acting on the transcription of osteoblast-related gene and signal transduction pathways,it can provide a new prospect for the study of new anti-osteoporosis drugs.
