Entertaining safety techniques for chemical work in school and life
Abstract
The textbook is devoted to the basic safety rules when working in chemical rooms, as well as when encountering dangerous substances in life. Important aspects of ensuring the safety of human interaction with a substance are considered, starting from the observance of caution during school practical work and the rules for storing reagents and ending with an explanation of the dangers of drinking large amounts of water and children's fascination with explosions.
The necessity of using protective equipment is shown, the rules for conducting laboratory experiments, storing and disposing of substances are described, and attention is paid to issues related to the risks that arise in household and industrial life when encountering dangerous asphyxiating gases, poisons and explosives.
The paper presents tasks and didactic games aimed at improving students' knowledge of safety regulations when working with chemical reagents and awareness of the possible danger of such experiments.
It will be useful for both schoolchildren and students studying chemistry, as well as teachers and parents who are interested in the safety of children during chemical experiments, as well as for all those who, whether they are aware of it or not, deal with chemical reagents and chemical reactions at home or at work.
