A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Study to Evaluate the Preliminary Safety, Efficacy, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Bryostatin 1 in Patients With Alzheimer's Disease
Abstract
This study is being done to evaluate the safety, tolerability and potential effectiveness of a new investigational drug, bryostatin 1, in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Conditions: Alzheimer's Disease.
Primary outcome: Number of Participants With Adverse Events as a Measure of Safety and Tolerability; Preliminary Efficacy of a Single Dose of Bryostatin in the Treatment of Patients With AD.
Enrollment: 9 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 9 participants or records.
