ClinicalTrials.gov · COMPLETED, 2006

1,067 participants

Abstract

The primary purpose of the study is to demonstrate that dapoxetine can prolong intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT) compared with placebo in men with premature ejaculation (PE).

Conditions: Erectile Dysfunction.

Primary outcome: Average Intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT), as measured by stopwatch, during sexual intercourse at the end of the treatment period (Week 12).

Enrollment: 1067 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 1,067 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
