Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of SCH 497079 on metabolic parameters and to determine the influence of race/ethnic origin on therapeutic response.

Conditions: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Primary outcome: Pharmacodynamic: Change From Baseline in Mean 24-hour Plasma Glucose (AUC/Duration) at Week 4 (Part 1 - United States); Pharmacodynamic: Change From Baseline in 24-hour Plasma Glucose (AUC/Duration) at Week 4 (Part 2 - India).

Enrollment: 17 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 17 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
