Efektivitas Antibiotik Pasien Rawat Inap Pneumonia Komunitas di RSUD Welas Asih
Abstract
Abstract. Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) remains a global health challenge due to its high mortality rate, making appropriate antibiotic selection essential to prevent treatment failure and the threat of resistance. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of various antibiotic regimens on clinical outcomes, including leukocyte count, body temperature, and respiratory rate. This analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design involved 123 inpatients at RSUD Welas Asih during the 2025 period, selected using a total sampling technique. Secondary data were obtained from medical records and analyzed both descriptively and statistically using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the majority of subjects were male (50.4%) and elderly (44.7%), with levofloxacin monotherapy (55%) and ceftriaxone (16%) being the predominant regimens used. Statistically, both antibiotics significantly reduced leukocyte levels (p<0.05), although temperature and respiratory rate parameters did not show similar significance, yet still achieved clinical stability by the third day. In conclusion, levofloxacin and ceftriaxone were the statistically most effective regimens, with further research using a larger sample size recommended.
