Clinical study on moxifloxacin in treatment of community acquired pneumonia
Abstract
Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of moxifloxacin in the treatment of community acquired pneumonia. Methods: Senventy-two cases with community acquired pneumonia enrolled in the study were divided into treatment group (36 cases) and control group (36 cases). Treatment group was treated with moxifloxacin in travenous infusion 0.4 g, one a day, after 3-5 days, the clinical symptoms improved to oral moxifloxacin piece of 0.4 g, one a day, total treatment 7 to 10 d; Control group was treated with levofloxacin in travenous infusion 0.4 g, one a day, after 3-5 days, the clinical symptoms improved after instead of oral levofloxacin 200 mg, 2 times a day, and total treatment 7 to 10 d; 2 times a day, and total treatment seven to 10 d. Results: The treatment group healed rate was 66.67% (24 cases), powerfully rate of 27.78% (10 cases), better rate of 5.56% (2 patients), invalid rate of 0 (0 cases), the total effective rate of 94.44%; Control group healed of 58.33% (21 cases), powerfully rate of 30.56% (11 cases), better rate of 8.33% (3 cases), invalid rate of 2.78% (1 case), the total effective rate of 88.89%, two groups was statistically significant differences (Uc=0.710 9, P=0.399 2). In the treatment group, 3 cases (8.33%) experienced nausea, vomiting or dizziness, and the control group 4 cases (11.11%) were nausea, vomiting or dizziness, two groups of comparisons difference was statistically significant (χ2=0.158 7, P=0.690 3). Conclusion: Moxifloxacin treat…
