The Effect of Acute and Short-term Intervention With Fish Oil on Overweight Subjects - Focus on Inflammation
Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of acute and short-term intervention with fish oil on inflammatory markers in overweight subjects.
Conditions: Overweight.
Primary outcome: To assess the effect of 1 g/day of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on inflammatory markers.
Enrollment: 50 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 50 participants or records.
