Randomized, Double-Blind, Double-Dummy Trial of Two Sustained Release Formulations of Carisoprodol Compared to Placebo in Subjects With Acute, Painful, Musculoskeletal Spasm of the Lower Back
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine if two sustained released formulations of carisoprodol are more effective than placebo.
Conditions: Lower Back Pain.
Primary outcome: Subject Rating of Pain on a 100-point Visual Analog Scale (VAS).
Enrollment: 840 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 840 participants or records.
