A Clinical Study for Assessing the Effect of Change of Bile Acid Pool on the Pharmacodynamics and Safety of Metformin and Intestinal Microbiome Profiles in Healthy Volunteers
Abstract
This clinical trial is intended to evaluate the effect of change of bile acid pool with cholestyramine on the pharmacodynamics and safety of metformin and intestinal microbiome profiles in healthy volunteers
Conditions: Human Microbiome.
Primary outcome: Compare the maximum blood glucose concentration (Gmax); Compare the maximum blood glucose concentration (Gmax); Compare the gut microbiome species change.
Enrollment: 15 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 15 participants or records.
