Kinetic Study Of Supplementation With The Enzyme Diamine Oxidase In Patients With Histamine Intolerance
Abstract
The present study was conducted to assess the safety and tolerability of five ascending doses of plant-based DAO enzyme supplement in subjects with symptoms of histamine intolerance.
Conditions: Histamine Intolerance.
Primary outcome: Number of participants with treatment-related adverse events (AEs); Type of adverse effects (AEs); DAO enzymatic activity in serum using a radioextraction immunoassay.
Enrollment: 15 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 15 participants or records.
