Abstract

Introduction: Chronic migraine (CM) is characterized by the recurrence of severe headache episodes accompanied by a cluster of symptoms that can have a significant impact on the quality of life of the patients. Case presentation: This is a case of a 46-year-old male with a history of resistant migraine and complex regional pain syndrome type II and sympathetically independent pain in the right lower leg, which started after fibula surgery. The patient reported a complete resolution of his migraine with ziconotide 2.0  g/day and 3.5  g/day for right lower leg pain. After 18 months of treatment with ziconotide via an intrathecal pump, the patient’s clinical condition continued to improve with a notable

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a case report, done in people. Its evidence level is 5 of 5 (Very low · case / narrative / animal / in vitro / in silico). Case reports, narrative reviews, and animal, cell or computer-model studies give the weakest evidence for human health.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
