A Single-Center Evaluation of Environmental Emissions From Electronic Cigarettes and Tobacco-Burning Cigarettes
Abstract
This study will assess environmental emissions of selected compounds in a test chamber after cigarette smoking or e-cigarette vaping.
Conditions: Smoking.
Primary outcome: To assess differences in levels of selected SHS constituents in an environmental test chamber after human smoking of e-cigarette #1, #2, and #3 compared to after human smoking of tobacco-burning cigarettes..
Enrollment: 71 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 71 participants or records.
