Abstract

The trial is being conducted to establish the bioequivalence of emp/met (12.5mg/500mg) fixed dose combination tablets compared to tablets administered together in healthy male and female volunteers under fed conditions.

Conditions: Healthy.

Primary outcome: AUC (0-tz) (Area Under the Concentration-time Curve of Metformin in Plasma Over the Time Interval From 0 to the Last Quantifiable Data Point); Cmax (Maximum Measured Concentration of Metformin in Plasma).

Enrollment: 32 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 32 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
