Abstract

Bioequivalence of two 12.5 mg empagliflozin/500 mg metformin fixed dose combination tablets compared to the free combination of empagliflozin 25 mg and metformin 1000 mg in healthy male and female volunteers under fed conditions

Conditions: Healthy.

Primary outcome: Area Under the Concentration-time Curve of the Empagliflozin in Plasma Over the Time Interval From 0 to the Last Quantifiable Data Point (AUC0-tz); Area Under the Concentration-time Curve of the Metformin in Plasma Over the Time Interval From 0 to the Last Quantifiable Data Point (AUC0-tz); Maximum Measured Concentration of the Empagliflozin in Plasma (Cmax); Maximum Measured Concentration of the Metformin in Plasma (Cmax).

Enrollment: 25 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 25 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
