RETRACTED ARTICLE: Chitosan tamarind-based nanoparticles as a promising approach for topical application of curcumin intended for burn healing: in vitro and in vivo study
Abstract
Abstract The editor and publisher of Journal of Drug Targeting have retracted the following article: Shalaby, E. S., Aboutaleb, S., Ismail, S. A., Yassen, N. N., & Sedik, A. A. (2023). Chitosan tamarind-based nanoparticles as a promising approach for topical application of curcumin intended for burn healing: in vitro and in vivo study. Journal of Drug Targeting, 31(10), 1081–1097. https://doi.org/10.1080/1061186X.2023.2276662 Following publication, a third party raised concerns about apparent duplications in figure 5 of the paper. When contacted for an explanation, the authors responded and shared raw data, but were unable to address the concerns. As the editor and publisher have been unable to determine the validity of the data, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors disagree with the retraction. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE principles. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
