RETRACTED ARTICLE: Silencing of long noncoding RNA H19 alleviates pulmonary injury, inflammation, and fibrosis of acute respiratory distress syndrome through regulating the microRNA-423-5p/FOXA1 axis
Abstract
We, the Editors and Publisher of Experimental Lung Research, have retracted the following article: Mu, X., Wang, H., & Li, H. (2021). Silencing of long noncoding RNA H19 alleviates pulmonary injury, inflammation, and fibrosis of acute respiratory distress syndrome through regulating the microRNA-423-5p/FOXA1 axis. Experimental Lung Research, 47(4), 183–197. https://doi.org/10.1080/01902148.2021.1887967 Following publication, concerns were raised by a third party regarding the image integrity of Cell Staining figures 2K. Further investigation by the Publisher additionally identified image integrity concerns with Western Blot figures 5K and 7I and the qRT-PCR methodology described in the article. When approached for an explanation, the authors did not respond to our queries. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The corresponding author has been informed. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
