Abstract

Statement of Retraction We, the Editors, and Expert Review of Medical Devices, are retracting the following article: Mahmudiono, T., Singhal, S., Mohammad, A. A., Failoc-Rojas, V. E., Catalan Opulencia, M. J., Haro, A. S., Karim, Y. S., Qurbonov, N., Abdelbasset, W. K., Mahdi, A. B. & Fakri Mustafa, Y. (2022). The impact of aerosol box on tracheal intubation during the COVID‐19 pandemic: a systematic review. Expert Review of Medical Devices, 19(10), 779–789. https://doi.org/10.1080/17434440.2022.2132149 Following publication, the publisher was made aware of a social media post appearing to offer authorship positions on an article with the same title. When contacted for an explanation, the corresponding author confirmed the article had been obtained from a concerning source and requested that the article was retracted. As determining authorship is core to the integrity of published work, we are therefore retracting the article. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
