RETRACTED ARTICLE: Effect of empiric intravenous intralipid therapy on pregnancy outcome in women with unexplained recurrent implantation failure undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer cycle: a randomized controlled trial
Abstract
We, the Editor and Publisher of Gynecological Endocrinology have retracted the following article: Jawharah Al-Zebeidi, Mohammed Agdi, Sahar Lary, Solaiman Al-Obaid, Gamar Salim & Dania Al-Jaroudi (2020). Effect of empiric intravenous intralipid therapy on pregnancy outcome in women with unexplained recurrent implantation failure undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer cycle: a randomized controlled trial. Gynecological Endocrinology, 36(2), 131-134. https://doi.org/10.1080/09513590.2019.1631280. Since publication, significant concerns have been raised about the integrity of the data and reported results in the article. When approached for an explanation, the authors cooperated fully and provided their original data. However, the responses provided did not sufficiently address our concerns. As we cannot confirm the validity of the study as reported, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors have been informed, and they do not agree with the retraction. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as 'Retracted'.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design.
