RETRACTED ARTICLE: Umbilical cord diameter in the prediction of foetal growth restriction: a cross sectional study
Abstract
We, the Editor and Publisher of Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, have retracted the following article: Mohamed, M. L., Elbeily, M. M., Shalaby, M. M., Khattab, Y. H., & Taha, O. T. (2022). Umbilical cord diameter in the prediction of foetal growth restriction: a cross sectional study. Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 42(5), 1117–1121. https://doi.org/10.1080/01443615.2021.2010185 Since publication, significant concerns have been raised about the integrity of the data and reported results in the article. When approached for an explanation, the authors cooperated fully and provided their original data to verify that the research and published article comply with the journal’s Editorial Policies, however significant concerns remained. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors do not agree with the retraction. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
