Abstract

Lymphangiomas are rare, benign tumors of the lymphatic system. They are formed through congenital malformation leading to lymphangiectasias. Thus, lymphangiomas are mostly seen in children and infants. Lymphangiomas are a benign lesion, therefore, if the patient is asymptomatic and the lesion is stable, complete surgical resection is not required and imaging surveillance is the preferred method of follow-up. This study reports a rare presentation of lymphangioma in the pancreas. J Curr Surg. 2021;11(1):24-27 doi: https://doi.org/10.14740/jcs432

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a case report, done in people. Its evidence level is 5 of 5 (Very low · case / narrative / animal / in vitro / in silico). Case reports, narrative reviews, and animal, cell or computer-model studies give the weakest evidence for human health.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
