Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) Handling Model with Transcultural Midwifery-Based Education (Sihol Batak Angkola) on the Behavior and Eating Patterns of Pregnant Women
Abstract
Nutritional problems in pregnant women are one of the performance indicators of the Ministry of Health's program listed in the national targets of the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGS ) 2015-2030 . Nutritional problems impact the health and safety of mothers and babies, as well as the quality of babies born. The incidence of chronic energy deficiency (CED) in pregnant women still ranks highest among data on pregnant women with obstetric complications in Padangsidimpuan City. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the chronic energy deficiency (CED) management model with transcultural midwifery-based education (Sihol Batak Angkola) on the behavior and eating patterns of pregnant women with CED. This research method used a quasi-experimental approach using a non-randomized design. equivalent control The study population was all pregnant women with special needs (KE) in the Padangsidimpuan City work area. A sample of 60 was obtained, consisting of the intervention and control group . Data collection used secondary and primary data. Data analysis was conducted using paired-reference tests. sample t-test and Wilcoxon test , to see the comparison of Independent Sample t-test and Mann Whitney Test. The results of the study showed that the average knowledge score of pregnant women increased from 6.26 to 8.53 with a p value <0.001, indicating a statistically significant difference after the intervention, the average attitude score increased from 18.86 to 23.96…
