A comprehensive model of the psychosomatic matrix: towards quantum energy therapy
Abstract
In the twenty-first century people know quite a lot about the psyche-soma and the impact upon it of emotional trauma. The mind, body, and energy system are different interacting components of one psychosomatic system. The energy system follows quantum rather than Newtonian principles. Sigmund Freud&s;s original psychoanalysis also addressed various levels of the system. In order to clarify the place of psychodynamics within the overall psychosomatic system, it is useful to review Freud&s;s original formulations on the workings of the psyche. Psychological trauma introduces representations of experience that cannot easily be processed and assimilated into the wider web of memory. One aspect of the trauma-derived internal working models is the core cognitions and metacognitions, identified by cognitive therapists. The body&s;s physiology or the brain&s;s neurobiology may have an inherent resistance to change, perhaps particularly in states of entrenched depression or in post-viral fatigue. However, kinesiologists and energy psychologists have identified resistances or "reversals" also in the energy system.
