Analysis of a Stationary Simplified Quantum Energy-transport Model in One Space Dimension
Abstract
The steady-state quantum energy-transport model for semiconductor devices in one space dimension is studied. The existence of the classical solutions is proved.In[3]such a result was obtained in the particular case where the electron density ntakes the same value at both endpoints. This paper extends that result to the case where the electron density takes different values at each endpoint.Unlike[3],in order to proceed with the integrations by parts to obtain the necessary estimates,an auxiliary function needs to be carefully constructed.
