Comment on ‘‘Low-temperature properties of quantum Heisenberg helimagnets’’
Abstract
Quantum effects on magnetic order and the magnon energy spectrum of Heisenberg helimagnets were investigated by Diep [Phys. Rev. B 40, 741 (1989)]. He obtained a change of the turn angle Q with respect to the classical result ${\mathit{Q}}_{\mathit{c}}$ and he found a lifting of the soft mode at k=Q. While the change of Q agrees with our analogous previous calculation, the lifting of the soft mode at k=Q is a spurious consequence of the approximation because it violates Goldstone's theorem.
