Data related to: Enhancing the energy resolution in scanning tunneling microscopy towards cavity quantum electrodynamics
Abstract
Data underlying Figs. 2, 3 and 5 of "Enhancing the energy resolution in scanning tunneling microscopy towards cavity quantum electrodynamics". Measurements used scanning tunneling microscopes (STM) with vanadium tunnel junctions at 10 mK–1.15 K. Included are: Josephson current (supercurrent of Cooper pairs) versus bias voltage, with fits and the fitted environmental impedance (Fig. 2); Josephson current for different lock-in modulation amplitudes (Fig. 3); and calculated spectral line widths versus temperature for thermal and P(E) broadening, i.e., energy exchange with the electromagnetic environment (Fig. 5). Format: MATLAB .mat file; units are given in the variable names.
