Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigating the effect of Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell (UC-MSCs) and secretomes to insulin resistance in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) patients. This study has 4 arms namely UC-MSCs treatment, secretomes treatment, UC-MSCs and secretomes treatment, and control.

Conditions: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Primary outcome: Blood serum sample; Free Androgen index (FAI); Insulin, Glucose Plasma, and Insulin Resistance; Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) and Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH); Leptin and Adiponectine Profile; TNFα, IL-1 β, IL-6, IL-10 Profile.

Enrollment: 44 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a clinical trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 44 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
