Systematic Review of Scientific Publications Related to Disease Burden Due To Earthquake
Abstract
Purpose of the Study: The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze studies related to health losses caused by earthquakes.Materials and Methods: This study is a retrospective study; It was planned as a systematic review. The systematic review research was carried out by examining three databases: Google Scholar, Web of Science and Scopus. The date range was not determined in the research, and the search was made with keywords related to earthquakes and health losses. PRISMA guide and SPSS-20 program were used to collect, analyze and interpret the research data and present the findings.Findings: In this study, the Google Scholar database targets research articles written in Turkish, while the Web of Science and Scopus databases target research articles written in English. A total of 896 publications were reached during the data collection phase of the systematic review study; As a result of the evaluation made with the inclusion and exclusion criteria determined within the framework of content, title summary evaluation and quality evaluation, 6 articles were evaluated. The methodological quality assessments of the study were evaluated independently by two researchers over 12 questions, and if each item was fully met, '1 point' was given, if not, '0 point' was given. As a result of the evaluation, the highest score given to the articles is 12 and the lowest score is 10. In addition, for the reliability of the scorers, the 'goodness of fit value of 0.75 kappa value'…
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a systematic review. Its evidence level is 1 of 5 (Highest · pooled evidence). Pooled evidence from several studies sits at the top of the evidence pyramid.
