Cytomegalovirus pneumonia in a patient with systemic lupus erythematous on treatment with hydroxychloroquine: A case report
Abstract
Ability of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) to cause invasive disease is dependent on host immune status. Pneumonia, which is generally expression of reactivation of a latent infection, typically affects deeply immunocompromised patients such as transplant recipients.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a case report, done in people. Its evidence level is 5 of 5 (Very low · case / narrative / animal / in vitro / in silico). Case reports, narrative reviews, and animal, cell or computer-model studies give the weakest evidence for human health.
