Mini-BFSS matrix model in silico
Abstract
We study a mass-deformed $\mathcal{N}=4$ version of the Banks-Fischler-Shenker-Susskind (BFSS) matrix model with three matrices and gauge group $SU(2)$. This model has zero Witten index. Despite this, we give numerical evidence for the existence of four supersymmetric ground states, two bosonic and two fermionic, in the limit where the mass deformation is tuned to zero.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a simulation / modelling, done in computer models (in silico), not in people. Its evidence level is 5 of 5 (Very low · case / narrative / animal / in vitro / in silico). Case reports, narrative reviews, and animal, cell or computer-model studies give the weakest evidence for human health.
