Grand challenges in biomedical physics
Abstract
This article summarizes current challenges and potential research areas in Biomedical Physics. We are aware of the fact that there is a strong focus on imaging methods and image-guided therapy approaches, leaving out other highly interesting research topics. However, this article should only provide a first stimulus, creating a wide range of novel, scientific contributions by various authors. Also, the editorial board will publish several inaugural articles in the near future to further elaborate also on other pressing issues in Biomedical Physics.
